Detailed itinerary for 4-days Chimpanzee Tracking Kibale and Bigodi Nature walk.
Day 1: Travel to Kibale Forest National Park, and hike to Lake Nkuruba.
You will be picked up after breakfast from your hotel/place of residence in Kampala by your safari guide/driver to begin your journey to Kibale Forest National Park, home of the Chimpanzees. Upon your arrival, you will check into your booked safari lodge and have lunch. Later you will set out for a scenic hike to Lake Nkuruba with great viewings of the beautiful crater lakes and perhaps a chance for you to see the red colobus monkey and the Black and white colobus monkey that are common in this area. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: H/B
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking Kibale and Bigodi walk.
After breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for a briefing on the Chimpanzee tracking activity i.e., what to expect and what is expected of you. After your adventurous time with man’s closest relative, you will return to the lodge for lunch and later set out for a Bigodi swamp walk, a very educative walk that is ideal for bird lovers. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B
Day 3: Visit Mahoma falls.
You will get to sleep in a little bit longer this day and after your late morning breakfast, you will set out to Mahoma falls with your packed lunch and swimsuits. Get some time to fully explore these beautiful falls and enjoy the refreshing touch of the wild waters. Return to your lodge for an evening of relaxation. Dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B
Day 4: Transfer from Fort Portal to Kampala / Entebbe.
After breakfast, you will check out of your safari lodge and exit the park for Kampala / Entebbe. You will have a stop for lunch and continue with your journey back to Kampala or to Entebbe international airport to check-in for your evening flight back home. Meal plan: H/B
