3 days Queen Elizabeth National Park; Named after her royal highness the Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth National Park is a uniquely gifted National Park in Uganda that will literally blow your mind with its beautiful scenery with just the perfect touch of mountain Rwenzori in the distance and amazing wildlife especially the rare Tree ‐ climbing Lions that can only be found here.

The park stretches into a beautiful treasure of green savanna vegetation, equatorial rain forest, Lakes George and Edward. The most common mammals here are Hippos, Buffaloes, antelopes, African Elephant, Warthogs, Nile Crocodiles, Hyenas and African Lion. The Kyambura gorge harbors a small population of chimpanzees and other primates. A visit to this National Park will be an excellent adventure.

DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1 : Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Your driver / guide will pick you up at exactly 6:30 am after your breakfast to begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park; we normally begin the journey early so as to beat the traffic jam. Drive westwards via Masaka‐Mbarara Highway. Make a stop at the Uganda Equator, where you will get to stretch your legs, get some coffee, buy a few souvenirs and then continue with the journey until Agip motel in Mbarara for lunch. Upon your arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park, check into your booked safari lodge, set out for an evening game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2 : Early Morning Game Drive, Afternoon Boat Safari on the Kazinga Channel

Wake up to a steaming cup of African tea or coffee and set out in search of the early morning risers on an exciting game drive along the Kasenyi and Queens Mile trucks. If you are lucky you may be able to view a lot of wild game perhaps on their hunting sprees. The cats are usually active around this time and thus making it a good chance you get some action. Return to the safari lodge for full breakfast, freshen up if you like and later after lunch, you will have a boat cruise at 2:00 pm along the famous Kazinga Channel where you will see lots of Hippos and spectacular birds.

Day 3 : Another Morning Game Drive, Travel back to Kampala

After your breakfast, fairly a relaxed morning, check out of your safari lodge and drive through the Ishasha sector to view the tree climbing lions as you exit the park. Drive to Kampala with a few stops to enjoy the crater lakes and beautiful scenery. Lunch stop to be made at Igongo cultural center and then continue to drive back to Kampala where you will be dropped at your hotel / airport.
