8 Days Northern Tanzania safari is ideal experience, which involves visiting Tarangire National Park, the elephant kingdom, Serengeti National Park, one of Tanzania’s famous parks and home to a broad range of wildlife and the spectacular wildebeest migration. Then there’s the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder with the world’s greatest concentration of animals. and finally Lake Manyara National Park, to spot tree-climbing lions and flocks of pink flamingos.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, a Simba African Expeditions customer care representative will greet you and provide an overview of your safari before transferring you to your pre-booked accommodation for check-in and overnight stay. Arusha, Tanzania’s oldest community, serves as the gateway to the world’s most famous game parks, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, and Lake Manyara. Meal Plan: Breakfast
DAY 2: Transfer TO NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
After breakfast, journey to Ngorongoro Conservation Area which comprises roughly 8288 km2 and includes a variety of ecosystems that is marshes, grasslands, woodlands, and savannahs. The crater offers the best wildlife viewing opportunities and a beautiful panoramic perspective of the interior. Over 20,000 bird species are found here, including ostriches, Kori bustards, miniature flamingos, and crowned cranes. However, cheetahs, giraffes, hartebeest, and impala are not present. Take a lunch break while in way. Later, explore the Masai Village in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Their dwellings are organized in bomas. Later; proceed to the booked Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: Full Board
DAY 3: DRIVE TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK VIA NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
After breakfast, depart to Serengeti national park with picnic lunch boxes, which is Tanzania’s largest park covers 14,736 square kilometers and borders the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. With nearly 2 million wildebeest and hoofed species (zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, impala, topi, eland, Kirk’s dik, klipspringer, roan, buffalo, giraffe, and warthog). Elephants are sparse, and black rhinoceros are limited to the Moru Koppies area. Ostriches and Kori bustards are popular bird watched in the destinations. Meal Plan: Full Board
DAY 4: FULL DAY EXPLORING SERENGETI
Upon waking up to breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive through the park to spot various nocturnal predators returning from their nightly hunt. Depending on the time of year and the herds’ migration, you may see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, birds, and other animals. In the huge Serengeti plains, where the habitat sustains the biggest residual concentration, and depending on wildlife movement, take a hot meal at the camp or enjoy picnic lunch kits. DAY 5: DRIVE TO LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, check out the lodge and overland drive to Lake Manyara National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a packed lunch. Lake Manyara has a broad range of ecosystems and topography, including rift walls, acacia woods, and grasslands. There are 350 bird species and fauna, including gazelles, impalas, buffaloes, wildebeests, hyenas, giraffes, hippos, and the famed tree climbing. When you arrive at your booked lodge, check in and refresh. Dinner and overnight. Meal Plan: Full Board
DAY 6: DRIVE TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
An early breakfast and depart to Tarangire National Park, driving through semi-arid savannah landscapes and picnic lunch box. Explore Tanzania’s sixth-largest park. Tarangire has an outstanding variety of vegetation (sausage trees, and acacia tortelli). Many bird species have been identified, including lapwings, African hoopoes, kingfishers, ostriches, Kori bustards, secretary birds, vultures, and marabou storks. Impala, waterbuck croissant, buffalo, hartebeest, and Cape eland are all housed here. Proceed to the lodge to check in, have dinner, and spend the night. Meal Plan: Full Board
DAY 7: FULL DAY EXPLORING TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, go on a full-day wildlife drive through Tarangire National Park, which runs from the grasslands of the Maasai Steppe to the lakes of the Great Rift Valley. On a game drive, expect to see elephants, lions, and about 400 bird species. View the rising sun gleaming across the grassy savannahs and the dappled light filtering through the branches of enormous baobab trees as large herds of buffalo and zebra graze calmly on the grasslands. DAY 8: DEPARTURE
Wakeup to a leisurely breakfast before driving back to Arusha. Enjoy an en-route lunch and some last minute shopping before being delivered off at Kilimanjaro International Airport.
