Itinerary for gorilla naming Rwanda

Arrival at Kigali
Arrival at Kigali international airport, meet your driver guide and transfer to your reserved accommodation for relaxation dinner and overnight.
Transfer to Akagera National park – boat ride
After breakfast, Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the park, have a morning game drive, lunch in the park then embark on a boat cruise on Lake Ihema you will see Hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. After the launch cruise drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Game drive in Akagera National Park
After breakfast, embark on morning game drive to see the early risers like the lions, buffaloes, bucks bucks, antelopes, impala, jobs, water backs, leopard, Topi elephants and a series birds. Transfer to the lodge for Lunch, dinner and overnight.
Canopy walk in Nyungwe National Park
After breakfast, drive to Nyungwe National Park, approximately 5 hours from Kigali to the park, have lunch, check into the park headquarters at Uwinka Visitors Centre in Nyungwe forest, be briefed by the park guide then start the 2 hour canopy walk where you will be treated by the green vegetation and watch a series of bird species.
Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe National Park
Wake up to an early breakfast at 6.30 and transfer to the park offices with packed lunch for briefing. By 8 am you trek into the jungle to find the chimps and sight a lot of wildlife including bird species. You will spend 1 hour with the chimpanzee, to see how they interact as you take photos. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Early morning after a cup or tea or coffee, transfer to volcanoes national park lunch en route, check into your reserved safari lodge, then in the afternoon experienced guides will lead you to Musaze caves while telling you the mysteries of these caves, history and all other facts return to the lodge for dinner
Gorilla naming ceremony
Have breakfast at your accommodation, transfer to volacano national park headquarters, Kinigi for mountain gorilla baby naming ceremony known as ‘Kwita Izina’ where newborn Gorillas are given names for easy identification. After the ceremony, spend an evening with community enjoying music, beer brewing, basket weaving and many others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Gorilla tracking at Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, pick a packed lunch, and transfer to the Kinigi at 7:30am for briefing by the rangers. You are assigned the habituated gorilla group you shall track and by 8.00am set off into virunga Forest to find the gorillas., The park is famously known as a home of mountain gorillas and thousands of people come to this place to track these gentle giants. After transfer to Kigali for dinner and overnight.
Kigali city tour – transfer to your destination
After breakfast, transfer to the city for a walk and get to know its beauty, it’s a safe city where you will walk without worries, walk around mural walls and see art painting and meanings behind them, move around milk bars and enjoy milk tasting, continue to the local market for local fruit tasting and local food for lunch, buy souvenirs then transfer to the airport for departure.
