10 days Kenya and Tanzania safari features East Africa’s best adventure. Starting from Nairobi, excursions for one-on-one interaction with elephants at the Daphne Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and giraffes at the Giraffe Centre, to Masai Mara and Serengeti National Park, one of East Africa’s most celebrated parks, to experience the annual wildebeest migration, to Ngorongoro’s game-drive-rich, not forgetting the rich culture of the Masai people coexisting with wildlife.
Fun-filled and thrilling activities such as elephant-back safaris are unforgettable and truly soul-evoking experiences. Optional activities, like a hot air balloon ride in the Mara and Serengeti, can be arranged at extra cost while on the safari. Encounter the true African people through their cultures by visiting traditional cultural villages of Masai, where you learn the unique African way of life.
DAY 1 ARRIVAL / NAIROBI
Upon arrival at the airport in Nairobi, a Simba African Expeditions representative will assist you with the transfer to your booked hotel. Before checking in at the hotel, a short briefing about the safari programme is given by the driver/guide throughout the adventure.
DAY 2: FULL DAY NAIROBI EXCURSIONS
After breakfast, transfer to Nairobi for an excursion, visiting the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, rhinos, zebras and other wildlife. Have an en-route lunch after a short break; proceed to AFEW Giraffe Centre, a nature centre. Later on, visit the Kazuri beads factory, after return to your booked hotel for your overnight stay.
DAY 3: TRANSFER FROM NAIROBI TO MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
Wake up to morning breakfast while waiting for pickup and transfer by our driver/guide heading to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the kinds that offers game viewing of the annual migration of over one million wildebeest. Venture into en route wildlife sightings while heading to the camp, followed by lunch and check-in at your booked camp. The entire afternoon is spent in Masai Mara reserve; later, transfer back to camp for campfire cocktails, dinner and overnight.
DAY 4 & 5: FULL DAY GAME DRIVES IN MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
After breakfast, head out for game viewing in the Masai Mara reserve while spending two full days in Mara, the reserve houses a big number of lion prides and elephants, among other predators such as leopards, cheetahs and spotted hyenas, while Mara River-spotted wildlife includes hippopotamuses, crocodiles, buffalos and zebras. However, if time permits, take a visit to the Masai village and learn the Masai culture. Later in the evening, head back to the booked camp for dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: TRANSFER FROM MASAI MARA TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Wake up to breakfast, check out of the camp, and then transfer to the Serengeti, which will be accompanied by picnic lunch. After, proceed to an afternoon game viewing in the Serengeti National Park while enjoying the route to the booked camp, check in later have Dinner and overnight
DAY 7: GAME DRIVES IN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Wake up to morning breakfast, the Simba African Expeditions driver/guide will take you on a full-day Big Five game drive with bush meals in the Serengeti savannah. Park is known for its annual migration of over one million wildebeest, and home to a number of wildlife animals: lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes and plains game. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
DAY 8: TRANSFER FROM SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
Wake up to breakfast, check out the camp and head out for a morning transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with an en route picnic lunchbox stopover at Olduvai Gorge. Upon arrival at your booked lodge, you will check in late in the day. Freshen up and relax at the lodge. Dinner and overnight
DAY 9: NGORONGORO CONSRESERVATION AREA
After breakfast, head out to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to marvel at grasslands, swamps, forests, salt pans, a freshwater lake and a glorious variety of birdlife. Find the ‘Big Five’ (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo) as well as a densest populations of predators. A picnic lunch on the crater floor before trekking back up to the lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight
DAY 10: TRANSFER FROM NGORONGORO TO NAIROBI
Wake up to breakfast; check out of the lodge for a transfer to Arusha. Enjoy lunch and last minute shopping, and then transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
